BioTis (UMR 1026 – INSERM / University of Bordeaux) stands as a national leader in the field of tissue engineering and regenerative medicine. The lab brings together full-time researchers, professors, clinicians, students and technical staff who collaborate on groundbreaking research that spans fundamental biology, in vitro modeling, and clinical applications. Key technological expertise includes the Cell-Assembled Extracellular Matrix (CAM), an innovative biological material with the potential to replace plastics in implants. Furthermore, BioTis features the A.R.T. (Accélérateur de Recherche Technologique) Bioprint, one of the 5 Technological Research Accelerators at INSERM, which aims to promote and accelerate the use of bioprinting in INSERM research units and in industry by providing state-of-the-art equipment and expertise.
